GREEBA MUSHROOMS

Greeba Farm Ltd is a family owned business nestled at the foot of Greeba Mountain on a site with over 100 years of growing history. The mushroom farm was originally started in the early 70’s and in 2005 taken over and developed to what it is today by Mark and Kathy Irwin.

Mark and Kathy wanted to produce something that the Island could really feel proud of and part of. They wanted to be part of the community and support it by creating local employment and working in partnership with those around us from our customers to local suppliers, the hospital and hospice to schools, charities and other community groups.

c.7,500lbs of mushrooms are grown and harvested a week by a skilled team of some 18 people in just half an acre of growing rooms - probably the most productive acreage on island!

They now have a dozen product lines in both white and chestnut from buttons through to large flat or portabello. Picked and delivered daily they are the freshest to market and available from Shoprite stores Island-wide.
